MOTIME - Museum of Time
Brand Identity | Typography
For this project, I created an identity for a museum of objects. I chose to brand a fictional Museum of Time (MOTIME), which reflects the beauty of time. It was established in 2018 with the goal of “making people value more of their easily forgotten time, especially because life is overwhelmingly busy”. I presented the abstract, change of time, through photography with typography.

Museum Core Concept
This museum reflect the beauty of time. It was established in 2018 with the goal of “making people value more of their easily forgotten time, especially because life is overwhelmingly busy”. Rather than history, the museum displays a wide range of art and design surrounding the effect of time. Visitors will gain a new presentation of time.
Target Audience
This museum is created for people who is too busy to value and understand the meaning and effect of time. It provides a place to experience the beauty of time and learn a new perspective of time.
Logo Design
This logotype design direction represents the movement and change of time. I used photography in particular to create my logo because photography itself is fundamentally a time-based medium. Most importantly, a change of time is obvious to tell when certain photographs overlapped or connected with each other. Such as taking a picture of an old photo of one’s childhood lined up in its original setting.
Within this direction, I designed two variations of the logo. In the first one, you will see a comparatively smaller photograph hold by hand in each bigger photograph. These gradually enlarged photographs could continue to multiply endlessly, indicating the infinity of on-going time.
The second variation is time-slice photo collages that blend day and night.
